The WOW Project has been operating as a small family-run charity for over a decade. We are still growing as an organisation and have much work ahead of us. Our immediate aim is to focus on the development of this project in order to make a positive impact on the lives of helpless widows and orphans so that they can access the most basic human rights. Our Journey
Upon successive trips to India we have regularly witnessed the devastating conditions in which widows and orphans struggle to survive. With widespread poverty and no local provisions of welfare and support, these poor women and children are living a bleak existence, with little to no hope for tomorrow. In 2012, we decided to take action and the WOW Project was born.
The WOW Project operated as a family-run and personally funded charity for almost a decade before the founders decided to expand the project. In 2020, the WOW Project was officially launched as a charity, widening its scope and impact through public outreach and wider participation.
Since 2012 we have helped many widows and orphans across South Asia, providing food, clothes and assistance to those who need it most. Through our help these women and children have gained access to basic welfare and support. With your continued support we can expand our reach, providing sustenance, sanitation, health care and education to those in need.

Why donate to the WOW Project?
Few charities ensure a 100% donation policy due to the costs of administration and various expenses associated with delivering aid on an international scale. The WOW project adheres to a strict 100% donation policy to ensure that each penny you donate reaches those you wish to help. Our expenses are covered through the generosity of private benefactors, which allows us to dedicate our time and effort to provide targeted support and aid, and guarantee the timely delivery of your entire donation to the orphans and widows who need it most.
What happens to the money I donate?
The money you donate will be used to buy provisions for widows and orphans who have no financial support or recourse to welfare. We also launch campaigns in support of specific projects. In the past these have included building masjids, Ramadan food packs, healthcare and surgery, and many more. As the charity grows and our work increases, we aim to expand our projects to benefit those in need and give them the opportunity to make a lasting improvement to their living conditions.
How can I get involved?
We welcome all donations, big or small, and are currently able to take donations online and in store. Every penny is a significant contribution to those in need.
We also collect donations of new and second-hand items in good condition that we are able to sell in our Coventry store. All proceeds from the sale of these items go in their entirety towards those in need.
