Emergency Donation Appeal for Al Jamia Halimatus Sa’dia Girls’ Madrasa & Orphanage, Bangladesh

Baitul Aman Welfare Trust have been collecting funds towards the building of the Al Jamia Halimatus Sa’dia Girls’ Madrasa & Orphanage located in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. However, due to the lack of funds, flooding and the impact of COVID-19, construction work has been put on hold for some time. As a result, the orphanage, girls’ accommodation and classes have been adversely affected.

We are working with Baitul Aman Welfare Trust to raise awareness of this important project and to appeal to you, our most valued supporters, to come forward and donate towards this project. Together with Baitul Aman Welfare Trust we need to raise £150,000 towards construction costs, so that we can provide these girls’ and orphans with much needed access to education and accommodation. Please donate what you can.

Bangladesh Masjid Project 2022

At the end of last year, we announced our latest campaign to build a much needed masjid in Bangladesh to hold around 200 people. Over the coming months you, our most valued supporters, donated most generously to help us realise this project. Work on the majid has now commenced and we are pleased to report that the work is going well.

Thanks to your generous donations we were able to raise our target of £10,000 to go toward the cost of construction. In addition to this, your continuing support and donations helped us to contribute extra towards furnishing the masjid and providing essential equipment and Qurans.

We invited our supporters to decide on a name for the masjid and would like to acknowledge all who took part. We are pleased to announce that the majid will be called, Masjid-e-Noorus Sahaba (RA).

We would like to thank all of you who have worked with us to make this project a reality. May Allah bless you all and reward you for your role in this virtuous deed.

We are pleased to be able to publish photos on the progress so far and will post regular updates as they become available.

Ramadan Distribution, 2021, Bangladesh

Thanks to your donations we were able to distribute much needed aid to vulnerable widows and orphans in Bangladesh this Ramadan. Our local team prepared food packs for distribution across 2 orphanages and among 40 widows, living in and around Inathganj, Sylhet Division. Among the beneficiaries of your donations were the orphans of the Mustofapur A U Alim Madrasah, who were most grateful for your support.

From your donations we prepared food packs for widows which contained rice, potatoes, onions, oil, milk powder, lentils, dates, salt, sugar, wheat flour, chickpeas, garlic and rose syrup. These basics have provided much relief and ease for these unfortunate women who have been struggling through this blessed month. Your help has made their Ramadan easier this year.

Similarly, we purchased essential food stuffs in bulk that were donated to the two orphanages in Inathganj. Your kind donations have helped feed these poor orphans during this blessed month of Ramadan.

This relief project would not have been possible without your donations and continuing support. These widows and orphans are extremely grateful for your generous support through which you have helped to remove some of their difficulties and made this Ramadan a little easier for them.

Jazakallah Khair

Ramadan Distribution 2021, India

Last year, with your generous support, we raised £1,300 for our Ramadan campaign, 2021. From these funds, we purchased food parcels and rice bags and distributed them amongst the needy in Navsari, India.

We put together 100 food parcels containing dates, sugar, tea, oil, flour, falooda syrup, china grass and custard and were distributed along with 100 5kg bags of rice.

The rice and food parcels were loaded and transported to our distribution centre. Here our volunteers unloaded the food, whilst women in need formed a line, waiting for their kind donation that came straight from you.

The women who came to collect their food parcels are widows who live in the local vicinity of our centre. Many have children, with little to no means to provide for and feed them.

The food you have provided this Ramadan has brought immense relief to those poor women who struggle every day.

These women are extremely grateful for all the help you have provided. Inshallah this Ramadan will be slightly easier for them thanks to your kindness.

Jazakallah khair for all your support.
